we hunt and we conquer
pointless granite citadels,
moving towards the hills
to pick off freezing villagers.
Breathe ash,
it's all that's left,
A once green land
covered in ruins
frozen and barren.
The dull ache of hunger
thins the herd.
No mercy,
no compassion.
Soon the cycle completes itself.
The earth returns to itself.
